International equine air logistics

When horses fly,
it should be done right.

From the stable door to the runway — and from the runway to the receiving yard. We coordinate the international air transport of the world's most valuable horses. Veterinary, customs, charter and grooms, held in a single pair of hands.

The reality

International horse transport is not a logistics problem. It is a trust that travels with the animal.

Our approach

A single, unbroken thread of responsibility.

One name. One number. One person accountable for the entire shipment — from the first phone call to the receiving yard. No call centre, no hand-off.

“We do not move freight. We hold a single thread of responsibility — from stable floor to receiving yard. Restraint is our most important operational tool.”

The operation

One thread of responsibility,uninterrupted.

Cavalry Air operates as a single integrated workflow. Six disciplines — air, ground, documentation, veterinary, welfare and operations — converge through one named lead and one signature of accountability.

Air transport

Charter and scheduled freight on the carriers that matter. One operational thread from the yard, across the ramp and into the cabin — no broker layer, no hand-off.

Ground connection

Specialist equine ground transport timed to the flight slot — to the minute. The horse never waits.

Documentation

Health certificates, blood results, CITES paperwork and import permits — consolidated into one dossier per shipment and lodged with the authority in advance.

Veterinary

Coordination with the home practice and the receiving vet. Pre-flight check plus in-flight monitoring of hydration, temperature and cabin pressure.

Welfare & quarantine

Accredited quarantine hand-over, experienced flying grooms within arm's reach, and a written arrival report before we leave the yard.

Operations

One named operations lead, one communication channel, one signature — from the first call to the final hand-over.

People who know what a mistake costs.

From racing yards to private owners — the people who hand us their most valuable horses share one thing: they cannot afford a mistake.

On the tarmac

The quiet moments before take-off.

Loading is where preparation meets the aircraft. Calm handlers, familiar voices, the same protocol every time — so the horse walks up the ramp as if it were any other morning at the yard.

  • 01Familiar grooms on the ramp — never strangers.
  • 02Veterinary check-in and final paperwork on stand.
  • 03Continuous handover from ground crew to in-flight care.
Equine transit insurance

Cover the horse, not just the flight.

Specialist equine transit and mortality cover, placed through underwriters who actually know horses. Mortality, transit, loss of use and veterinary fees — bound in writing before the ramp goes up.

Already booked the flight elsewhere? We still place the cover. Independent of the carrier, in your name, valid from yard door to receiving box — on any aircraft, any route.

  • 01Mortality, transit & loss-of-use cover for a single trip or the season.
  • 02Stand-alone cover when the flight is booked through another agent.
  • 03Certificate issued in writing before take-off — no verbal promises.
